Welcome to Move Makers Dance Studio, where we believe that dance is a language that everyone can speak! Our studio offers a variety of classes including ballet, jazz, tap, and hip-hop, catering to dancers of all ages and skill levels. We pride ourselves on creating a nurturing environment that inspires creativity and confidence in each student.

Ms. Mindy
Studio Owner/Director
Pre-Ballet/Tap Juniors
Mindy began her dance training in Centerville under the instruction of Lisa Hull Walker and Sylvia McAlister. She continued her training as a member of the UTM Dance Ensemble where she further developed her skills and love for the performing arts. Within the JKSOM community, Mindy was selected as an Elevate Leader where the collaborates with and mentors fellow dance teachers.

Ms. Jessica
Instructor
Tap/Jazz I, Lyrical, Ballet I, II, III, and Pointe
Jessica has a strong background in classical ballet. She received her technical training at The Dancers' Workshop (home of the Baton Rouge Ballet Theatre), Company One in Baton Rouge, and Five Flags Dance Academy in Pensacola, FL. In college she studied Graham modern dance technique and ballet at Louisiana State University and Horton modern dance and ballet at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center in New York City. While in NYC, she was accepted into Alvin Ailey's Professional Division Certificate Program. She also studied jazz at The Broadway Dance Center with Frank Hatchet.

Ms. Beka
Instructor
Acro I + II, Minis Combo, and Homeschool
Beka brings a diverse background in the performing arts. She has taught a variety of dance styles and cheer to students of all ages. Beka participated in the Universal Studios City Walk as a company dancer. She has seven years of experience in competitive gymnastics, as well as five years of competitive cheering.

Ms. Melissa
Instructor
Sub for Acro I and II
Melissa's story began as a nationally competitive USA Gymnastics athlete but quickly learned she loved coaching just as much as competing. She coached gymnastics while in high school and continued throughout college where she was also a collegiate cheerleader at Northwestern State University. After college she became the head coach of both recreational and competitive gymnastics programs. Over the course of 11 years, she coached athletes in Louisiana and Tennessee helping them build strength, confidence, discipline, and a love for the sport.

Ms. Stephanie
Instructor
Ambassadors
Stephanie started her dance journey as a competition kid, competing nationally, and training alongside instructors such as Wade Robson, Mia Michaels, Doug Caldwell, and Mickey Rooney in the areas of jazz, tap, ballet, modern, lyrical, and contemporary. Her experience took her to a well-versed career including dancing for the Miami Heat and Dallas Cowboys. She has also been part of national tv shows, music videos, commercials, and live stage performances with artists such as Flo Rida, Pitbull, J-Lo, Marc Anthony, One Direction, Keith Urban, Ke$ha, and J. Balvin. She has also been featured on the Voice, the Today Show, Teen Choice Awards, Conan O'Brien, and Premios.

Ms. Emily

Beginner Hip-Hop
Emily began dancing at a young age at Miss Amy's Dance Studio, and then later, at the Competitive Edge where she trained and competed at both regional and national levels.

Ms. Carlin
Instructor
Musical Theater, Intermediate Jazz/Tap, and Teen Hip-Hop
Carlin is a product of Move Makers Dance Studio. During her time at UT Martin, she participated in various dance courses and activities while completing her degree with a minor in Theatre.

Ms. Hailee
Instructor
Additional Support
Hailee started dancing at the age of six. She danced competitively for two years and then found a passion for teaching. After seven years of assisting various levels, she began teaching her own classes. She encourages our Dance Ambassador teams and helps them to perform at parades, competitions, sporting events, and festivals in the area.
